Raising the money to host the Empaako Festival 2027 and to welcome the Omukama of Tooro to the United Kingdom: the venue, the royal party's travel and hospitality, performers, sound and staging. Every member household is asked to pledge.
Fortnightly Rutooro lessons for children born or raised in the UK: greetings, songs, counting, riddles and empaako. Taught by member volunteers, online and in person, with a simple reader for each level.
A fund members draw on in hard times: to support a family at a bereavement, including repatriation to Tooro, and to help members newly arrived in the UK find their feet.
Recording the stories, riddles and proverbs told at Hakyoto Mkairirizi evenings, with the tellers' permission, so that children and families far from Tooro can listen again.
